QSR, HORECA and foodservice

A QSR and foodservice supplier for Australia and New Zealand.

Shiiv Imports Pty Ltd sources food, napkins and packaging for QSR chains, franchisees, HORECA buyers and foodservice businesses. HORECA means hotels, restaurants and cafes. We work with global factories that already supply mainstream supermarkets, foodservice and QSR.

We are the sourcing partner and importer. The factory makes the product to your specification, and we bring it in for Australia, New Zealand, or both.

  5. 05

    Deliver

Shiiv imports the approved product and arranges delivery on the order.

With the factory

What a major QSR brief covers

Specification, labelling, allergens, shelf life, batch traceability, and import requirements for Australia and New Zealand. Shiiv coordinates each point with the factory. Shiiv Imports Pty Ltd holds ISO 9001, and product certifications stay with the factory that holds them.

The full list sits on the compliance part of a chain brief.

Plain answers

Questions buyers ask

Who sources food for QSR chains in Australia and New Zealand?

Shiiv Imports Pty Ltd is a sourcing partner and importer for QSR chains, franchisees, HORECA and foodservice buyers in Australia and New Zealand. Shiiv works with global factories that already supply supermarkets, foodservice and QSR, and imports the approved product. The factory makes the food. Shiiv does not.

Is Shiiv Imports a manufacturer or a distributor?

Neither. Shiiv is a sourcing partner and importer. The factory makes the product, and Shiiv runs the sourcing, the sample, the compliance coordination and the import, then arranges delivery to the place named on the order. Distributors that supply QSR and foodservice can brief Shiiv as well.

What products can a QSR or foodservice buyer brief?

Frozen chips, potato snacks and patties, precooked rice, spices and seasonings, sauces, dips, condiments, gherkins and pickled vegetables, tomato purees, nuts, peanut butter, ghee and butter, the coconut range, Indian snacks and brands, biscuits, napkins, food packaging and bags. The full list is on what we source.

Is there a minimum order quantity?

There is no single minimum across the range. Minimum order quantities depend on the product, the pack format and the factory, and Shiiv confirms them in the quote. Bulk foodservice packs of existing catalogue lines usually need less set-up than a custom product developed with a manufacturer.

How long does it take from brief to delivery?

It depends on the product, whether it is an existing line or a custom product, the factory's production calendar and the shipping route to Australia or New Zealand. Shiiv confirms a timetable with the sample, and delivery timing is agreed in writing at approval, order by order.

Which certifications apply to the products?

Shiiv Imports Pty Ltd holds ISO 9001. Product certifications such as Halal, HACCP-based food safety programs, ISO or BRC belong to the supplying factory. Shiiv sources from factories that hold the certifications the product requires, and buyers can ask for the documents for a named line as part of the brief.

Where are the factories, and where is your team?

Shiiv works with global factories, chosen for each brief. The country of origin for a line is confirmed in the brief and shown on the label. The Shiiv team works from Sydney, Auckland, Singapore and Ahmedabad.

Do you supply both Australia and New Zealand?

Yes. A brief can cover Australia, New Zealand, or both. After approval, Shiiv imports the product and arranges delivery to the place named on the order.

Can you develop a private label product for our chain?

Yes. A chain can brief a custom product, including private label QSR food. The manufacturer develops and makes it to the chain's specification, and Shiiv imports it. See how a chain brief works.

How does a brief work?

Five steps: brief, source with the factory, sample, approve and deliver. The chain sends the product and specification, Shiiv matches it with a factory, a sample is assessed in the chain's own kitchen, the chain approves in writing, and Shiiv imports and delivers.
